Dogs at Thyme

Our Dog Policy

We are delighted to welcome dogs at Thyme.

A selection of our cottages are dog-friendly, and guests checking are welcome to bring their four legged friends. Please notify our reservations team upon booking, if you would like to bring your dog when staying with us. 🐾

Please read our Dog Policy below for more information.

IN THE BEDROOM

We allow a maximum of one dog per room booking. For your dog, an additional fee of £50 per stay will be added to your booking. This includes a basket, a water bowl, food bowl, a towel and paw cleaner.

If you leave your dog in your room, our team will not enter unless you are present. This may result in stay over or turn down services not being provided during your stay.

Reservations for dog stays must be made in advance to allow our team to prepare for your canine’s arrival.

RESTAURANTS AND GUEST SPACES

Your four-legged friends are more than welcome to join you for a bowl of water in the Baa Bar, discover the boutique and join you for a meal in The Swan. The Ox Barn, Meadow Spa, pool & Orchid House, The Farmhouse & The Lodge, as well as the Cookery school are for humans only.

Dogs are not allowed on furniture in the rooms, cottages or communal spaces.

DOG ETIQUETTE

We welcome well-behaved dogs; any disturbance to other guests may result in you being required to remove your dog to your car.

Dogs should be fully house trained and over the age of six months. If your dog fouls inside, a cleaning fee will be added to your bill of £100 and may result in you being required to remove your dog to your car.

Dogs must kept on leads throughout the inside spaces and across the estate. Thyme is a working farm with free roaming chickens and other livestock. When walking your dog on public footpaths, please ensure you adhere to the Countryside Code, see section ‘Always keep dogs under control and in sight’.

Please ensure that you pick up after your dog and dispose of waste in the designated disposal bins.

DAMAGES

If any damage is found in your room, appropriate reparations will be added to your bill. It is your responsibility as an owner to insure against damage and personal injury your pet(s) may cause while in the Hotel to other animals or people.
